Nope, crime rate wont be a problem! Crime is everywhere no matter where the World Cup is held!! Wait and see, South Africa has it under control. Have faith and see you then, maybe!

There's always a fairly decent chance that there will be violence anywhere the world cup is played, regardless of the venue.

This a trickey one. I would hinge the answer on how much preparation and control the local police have for the games. You look at the 2002 games in Japan/ROK and they went quite smoothly, most of which was due the fanatical preparation by both countries in security and accomodation for foreign tourists.

WIll there be crime? Yes. Will it be bad? See above.
