ie: petting zoos, water rides, kiddie rides, kids museums.... my boys just turned 2 and 3 this week.

Try Storybook Forest in Ligoneer. It is part of Idlewild Park.

Sorry, but there's nothing within an hour of State College.

No amusement parks, no grocery stores, no gas stations.

That's what happens when you put a crappy state university in the middle of nowhere.

There is Lakemont Park in Altoona, Pa and Delgrosso's Park in Tipton, Pa. I believe they are within an hour's traveling time.

It's more than an hour away (almost 2 hours), but Hershey Park is a great place for families and kids of all ages.
