Detroit Tigers or Chicago White Sox?

Which team is better, and why?

In my own opinion they are both good clubs. But if you were asking me to pick one that has the better chance to make it to the Series... I would pick the Tigers... just because I feel they have the better bull pin, by a little.

The tigers have the better record but they are only up 2 games even though they've been on this incredible hot streak. The white sox have also won the only three game series they've played against the detroit tigers thus far. So unless the tigers can find out how to beat the white sox cnsistently, The will definitely fall out of first in the second half when they face the sox more.

No one has a better hitting team then the White sox..
But the Tigers pitching staff is unbelievable .. there is no fantasy league were one of these starters arent on a team .. and i really like their hitting.., 7 players with 10 or more home runs.. 4 players with 16 or more .. their hitting doesnt compare to the white sox though .. no ones does ..the Sox 3, 4, and 5 hitters have 76 homeruns combined ... their pitchers ERA are very high though .. Their pitchers would not be winners on any other team(Except maybe Contrearas) .. but because thier offense puts up numbers .. they win
And the Sox wont always be putting up big numbers in the playoffs against the opposing teams Ace pitchers ..
So i think, obviosly , they both make the play-offs but unlike the Sox, the tigers will win in the playoffs .. i do believe it is the Tigers year.

Detroit Tigers...... they have better pitching and hitting.. plus they play more like a team then the White Sox do.. Chicago also has to play half there games in Chicago and they are not the greatest on the road. Detroit is good at home and on the road

Right now the Tigers are pitching better, but the White Sox are getting more out of their lineup. Sox starters 1-5 are the best in the game, but their 'pen hasn't helped them, especially in long relief and set-up, though Thornton was a good acquisition.

Some of the answers above are written by absolute morons, if they don't think the White Sox have any players, or that it sucks that they have to play half of their games in Chicago. And them not playing like a team is a joke. Too many people with critical cases of cranial rectal insertion with E-mail accounts these days.

this is an honest answers because i am a white sox fan. i no that the tigers will make the playoffs along with the sox. one of them will win division and the other wins wild card. but like i said white sox can beat the tigers that y they will beat them in the playoffs.

the white sox are the beter team. the tigers are playing way over their heads right now and will cool off the 2nd half of the season but will probably still make the playoffs. the white sox are the defending world series champs and are better this year than last. their pitching is deeper than last year and you cant add a healthy jim thome to your lineup and not be better.

I hate to say it, but it's the White Sox. They won it last year, they've been thru the pressure and the Tigers have so many young players. They're at least a year away from contending. They MAY be able to hold on to the Wild Card though...maybe

Tigers seem to be more in sync with each other. They're always on the same page.
They just can't lose if they keep that up.
