At work last night I saw the late BBC news, they had a report on this subject. They basically got 2 Italian lip readers to look over the footage, and they managed to determine what was said, or at least something along the lines of what was said by Materazzi (they didnt tell us what Zidane said).
As Materazzi pinched his nipple he said "no"
Then as they walked off he said "calm down"
Then then next thing was "I wish an ugly death upon you and your family"
Followed closely by "Go f**k yourself"
Which is where Zidane headbutted him. The report also said that Zidane's mother is currently really ill.

He was frustrated because of Italy's rough play. And at that time that player behind Zidane said something which Zidane to do that. But I think that wasn't a good thing from Zidane.

I believe this what happened:
Marco said to him "Hey Zidane, Ever played Marco Polo, I am the best player at it in the world"
Zidane went over to him and said "Marco where is Polo cause there is a fish out of the water"
It was not actually a head butt, he just had his eyes closed and could see where he was going.

well first the italian does a foul on zizou which is not considered.zidane starts walking away.n this italian dumbo follows him n insults teh french team or zizou.well zizou looks backs n tht italian comes to pass by him zizou had got fired up n headbutts him in his chest.then the ref comes n gives the yellow card.though someone protests
