If this is new or if you are suddenly seeing a lot more floaters than usual, I would get to an eye doctor ASAP because it could indicate bleeding in the eye or a retinal tear (especially if there is cloudiness as well). If this is a chronic condition, it may just be a fact of life. We begin to notice floaters in our eyes in our teens or early 20s and these increase as we age. There is no "cure". Normally, these are only slightly annoying and benign, unless, as I mentioned in the first sentence, they represent a dramatic change in our vision. The linked article below gives a good explanation of this phenomenon.

There is nothing you can do to fix it. There is a gel-type of substance in our eyes called the aqueous humor that over time degrades. As it degrades we notice these "floaters". It is not a problem just a sign of normal aging.
However, if this is getting increasingly worse or they are really interfering in your field of vision see an opthamologist. Even if they are not getting worse you should see an eye Dr once a year.
I am a nurse, I have had floaters for years.

I have floaters as well. I have heard (don't know if its true) there is a product they sell called (sp) CitraCal (dont know if thats the right name but thats how to pronounce it.) It is supposed to clear up floaters. I have heard it advertised on the Paul Harvey radio show.

Nothing. I've had floaters all my life and you just look around them.

If you have black floaters it is a sign of a torn retina

My eye guy said nothing to do for them. He was right and they went away after a while.

nothing. they are burst blood vessels in the eye and usually remain for life. eventually your brain will learn to remove them from your sight (it cleverly clocks them out, from the normal viewing field).

I have them, lots of them!!!
