Why don't everybody walk naked?

The use of clothing has to do with both culture and environment. In many, if not most cultures, certain parts of the body are deemed private, and must be covered from public view. Each culture selects its own body parts for this treatment, so what is permissable to show in what culture may be taboo in another. Thus, we find cultures where women walking around topless is normal, and other where women doing so will perhaps land them in jail. And yet other cultures exist where men must cover their knees at all times.

The environment also determines what people will wear. In cold regions, people tend to wear a lot more clothing in order to keep warm (like fur coats). In regions wear there is a lot of intense sunlight, people may try to cover their skin and head from exposure, hence we have the flowing robes and head coverings of the men and women from Arabia.

Clothing is also a form of adornment that provides a means of cultural and personal expression. People wear everything from jewelry to sport shoes to show their affinity to certain groups, like their tribes, their peers, or their friends. They may also use their clothing (or lack of it) to try to stand out from others.

because we would get cold...and that would be sorta nasty to people in this century...But hte real reason we do wear clothing is so we dont get cold. In the "Cave Men Time" They wore clothes because it was too cold for them and they would freeze to death. But if you notice some old tribes in Africa do not wear any clothing because they dont need it because it is very warm there. So, if you dont want to or anyone else to wear clothing move to Africa and go visit a tribe. Have fun!

Actually some of them do in only 1 place in the world, Agde. You can walk in the streets, supermarkets and anywhere naked!

I don't know.There wouldn't be any hang ups on who was dressed better than the next person.I think we should all just get naked.

That sounds good, in theory, but think hard about that. Life without clothes would suck, for a lot of reasons.
