The journeys have become less tiring, faster, more comfortable, cheaper, and easily accessible. Options have also increased in each of the transport mode and the carriers are more customer friendly than ever.

Travelers have also changed their traveling habits, expecting more and more, more aware of their rights and benefits, better informed through various means of communication and search, and have become choosy too.

Similarly travel related accessories, services, options, and costs have also seen a sea change. Travelers seek maximum value for their money and are demanding and accepting changes for their good.

i am 20, when was 16 i could drive from florida to indiana and pay 99cents a gallon. Now it is almost half as cheep for me to fly. Lets put it this way. It would of cost me 300+dollars to drive my truck from orlando to indianapolis, which is 600 round trip. I am flying with Southwest fot 88 each way.. So gas price goes up, plane tickets come down.. O well i hate driving anyways.

Previously travellers would take their entire house with them when they travelled in huge metal trunks called petis and would have bedding rolls with mattresses tucked inside for night time train travel. Now they fly.
