At home. The state is (and should be, I believe) very limited in what they can teach in the way of morality-- and there are definately moral issues around sex.

Sex ed in high school now teaches all process, and stresses all the negative aspects of intercourse: teen pregnancy, STD, etc.

It would be best to educate about love and sex, or the meaning of sex, or any/all of those abstract ideas around the topic of intercourse-- but schools can't doctrinate something like that. Values are learned at home.

Sex shouldn't be taught at all. It should only be experienced.
What definately should be taught are all the consequences of having sex.
Also, the main difference between sex and making love should be explained.
I think these things should be taught both at home and at school. At school, instead of that silly video in SexEd, students should have to do a research assignment that includes a Q&A section with their parents. That way students can explore different interpretations of sex and then consult their parents about what they have learned. When the teacher corrects the assignments, he/she could do a follow-up task for those students/parents who don't know the difference between sex and love making.
Most importantly, all the taboo and myths about sex should be avoided. Sex is a natural human need and it should be practiced with knowledge and safety, not with fear and false expectations.

This topic should be taught as naturally as possible at home beginning whenever a child starts asking questions, & should continue through the years until the child reaches maturity.

Sex education should also begin in school in the early elementary years & continue as the student grows older with more structured information, building on the information that has been given at home.

Sex shouldn't be taught at all everyone should just remain ignorant... No seriously, it should be taught at school as a fail safe, not every parent takes the time to do this at home.

I don't think sex should be taught at all. Seriously, I believe that it is a parent's right and responsibility to educate their children on sex to help instill the right values. Sex education comes down to the mechanics of sex. Only a parent can help a child deal with the emotional part of complex issue.

Well, the intimate questions, such as what it is specifically, should be taught at home. However, at school, in Health (and with boys separated from girls) it is good to discuss what STDs are and what your body goes through during puberty. I don't agree with any school teaching about safe sex though, because there is no such thing unless you're in a monogamous relationship...

Home. It is the responsibility for parents to teach children at the appropriate age.

I would not recommend children learning about human sexuality at school unless it's at a biology class when only FACTS are discussed.

Every family has a different understandning of it, and morals are different. You don't want someone influencing your children's view on a morally sensitive topic that could effect their entire view on sex and marriage.

It should be taught at home, with someone you relate to the most

School and at home, because there are some parents out there who will refuse to talk about it to their children

in the best case scenario, it should be taught by parents. i also belive perhaps its a good idea to be able to talk with one's pastor (or other spiritual leader) as they would be a "unbiased, trusted 3rd party" who should have your intrests in mind.

anyway, parents should do it (at home obviously) as it is their duty to teach you based on their abilities. they can tailor their response to meet your needs as NO ONE knows you as well as those that conceived you, or at least thats the premise.

in general, children look to their parents as their mentors in many ways, and this is really no exception.
