My wife takes off her engagement ring and the wedding band before she goes to bed every night. I have almost never taken my ring off except one time I had to get it resized before I had lost a lot of weight between the time we bought the ring and my wedding day. The ring got so loose that it could fall off my finger. So, we had to get it resized.

I am an extremely happily married woman. And I don't wear my ring all the time. I don't wear jewelry usually. Don't like it. I love my wedding set and all, but when I'm working about the house all day long, I'd rather not wear it. ANd I can't fall to sleep with it on. Never have been able to sleep in jewelry.
My husband takes his off at night to sleep.

I only take mine off when cooking something really messy or using very harsh cleaning detergents. My husband lost his original ring and the replacement, so he never wears his. (Yes, that's an issue, but that's not the question at hand.)
Quick diamond cleaning tip: when you don't have time for a deep clean, use a soft brush or cloth w/toothpaste to shine up that diamond.

my husband and i never wear ours we know we r married that is what matters. But because of our jobs we don't wear them he drives a truck and i drive a school bus and with hands on wheel a long time it thends to hurt and he does more then drive he actually almost lost his ring finger cause he opened trailer door and it caught his ring when it swung open so now neither one of us wear them. Just remember it's not the ring that keeps u married.

My husband and I never take our rings off. The only time I have had them off is when I have had surgery. These rings are a symbol of our deep love and respect for one another.

i think as long as you act like you are married, it should not matter if you wear them or not...
i also believe that if your husband or yourself have a job where you could get the ring caught on something that could be a potential danger to losing your finger/hand, then take them off, by all means...
also people usually don't wear them if they could lose a set or damage them in any way...just act married and it shouldn't matter if you have them on or not!

On our wedding day my Hubby sealed mine with a kiss and it has never been off (we have been married almost 9 years.) He takes his off occasionally. Mine has been through surgeries, MRIs, and of course the daily activities.

my wife takes hers off when she cooks sometimes.(when its messy)
if you are a mechanic or where you finger can get caught.
I bought my wife a really nice ring, so she wants to take care of it, but I got a gold band, but that is all I wanted, see I'm a mason contractor, so I lay bricks, and stone. Mine takes a beating, but that is why I got a cheap one.
My wife's ring is very expensive, so she takes it off when she might think it will get dirty or scratched.
But if you are taking it off to go clubing you are trying to cheat.

Me and my hubby wears our all the time. Some women would take it off, when doing dishes or any other house hold duties. But I will mine when I do dishes, and everything else.
