The seem to be many stories about experiences with the supernatural. I do not know of a single person who has had such an experience him/her self. The stories have been in all civilizations and seem to have been through out the history- going even upto the present day.
Has anyone have oneself experienced such an experience?

Subodh,
I don't know if this experience meets your qualifications, but this is the first time I have ever openly shared it with anyone since it occured 36 years ago. I was 18 years old at the time. I was practicing my daily meditation, seated and focusing on a candle. I had never used any kind of inebriating substances at that point in my life. I was mentally expanding my conciousness, so as to fill the Universe. After about 5 minutes of this exercise, I was literally transported out of my body, into space, about 500 miles from earth. I sensed the unmistakable presence of another being right next to me. Although I never saw this being, I felt overpowering vibrations of intense love coming from said being. As I looked back at earth, I first saw it as you would expect to see it normally. Then, in an instant, it was transformed, and I saw that it is composed of pure lines of some kind of force or energy. It looked as if everything was composed of some kind of matrix of pure white light. I was then instantly transported to the surface of earth, where I found myself standing in a beautiful meadow. The being was still with me. As I looked around, I saw flowers, a stream, grass and trees, as it would normally appear. Then, the same thing happened, and all was changed into pure white light. All of the things were still there as before, but were made of pure energy. After a few seconds, I was back in my body. I think this whole event maybe lasted 30 seconds, I am not sure. As you might imagine, I was blown away. It was as real as anything I have ever experienced in my life. The being never spoke to me. I have spent many years trying to decipher the message I was given that day. This is what I have concluded. There is no such thing as solid matter. Even the most secular scientist will tell you the same thing. Everything is truly made of energy. When you realize this, it makes you take your possesions less seriously. The whole idea of accumulating wealth becomes a little silly. The other thing I learned is, that we are not alone. We need to know that we are loved, and in a way most humans could not understand. Although I did not see or speak to my Guide, I was overwhelmed by the love that was all around and through me that day. I have tried many times since that day, to go back and relive the experience I had, but so far, no luck. I have never met or talked to anyone who has had a similar experience. Nothing that I saw conflicts in any way with the spiritual beliefs of anyone's religious faith. Since that day, I have been compelled to walk the spiritual path. I am not a prophet or holy man. I was just lucky enough to have been open to the truth.

I used to tell ghost stories professionally on a tour of supposedly haunted sites. I did this for about eight years. I have heard thousands of "authentic" ghost stories from people that claim to have experienced the actual encounter.

I do not believe that there are ghosts. I do believe there are things that happen that can't be explained in ordinary accepted terms. I have personally seen many.

The things I have seen are more odd than frightening though. Because I was doing these tours, I, and my passengers, were hype-aware of phenomenon of any type. What I have come to believe whole-heartedly through dozens of incidents of phenomenal situations is that there are hundreds of things that go on everywhere around us, all of the time that are almost normal, but not quite...we just fail to see them since we are used to seeing things through "normal" goggles so to speak. We take the phenomenal we see and our brains automatically look away or, more often, just fail to see the strangeness as anything but normal.

Anyway, it's hard to explain without going into individual stories. My many experiences have always left me with the same feeling. Awe, wonder, and appreciation of life...and the cold hard fact that we don't know all that much...there are still oceans of mystery out there.

yes, I have. And I am a clear-headed, non-delusional, non-drug doing adult.

Do you watch the discovery channel? Have you looked in a book store lately in the spiritual section? There are many modern day accounts of people having personal experiences with beings not of this planet. This is a very personal thing and many people who do have these experiences may be shunned by non-believers or passed off as someone who is delusional. Or if they are a highly religious person of modern Christianity(no offense Christians) they may think that it is bad to see things not of this earth and think that God may get mad at them if they admit or let themselves see these things. There is a balance to these beings, for every good there is evil, so be careful if you do come across something, it can be either one and very deceiving.

There is usually a reason why people have these experiences. Many people do not tell their stories good or bad. Just look at the answers that you may get from this website from people of all walks of life. There are many points of views and opinions. When you have one of these experiences, it is supposed to be a learning experience.

Location: Attic - one way in/out of my grandparent's house.
Age: 10
Situation: I was allowed to go into the attic and play - the house is large and old so you can imagine the size of the attic - I had done this many times, and have after this. My grandmother passed away about 4 weeks after my birth, and it was said that she always watched over me. The attic is/was setup with plenty of lighting so it was not some trick of the lights. My family does not believe in storing anything like mirrors or glass in the attic so there is no posibility that it was some kind of glare or reflection. I beleive that I saw my grandmother's ghost in that attic - on more than one occasion - she always seemed to be watching me. As I have grown up I have always had a feeling that I am being watched over by someone, and at times I have caught glimpses of a shadow just out of the corner of my eye. The incidents in the attic have been witnessed(sp?) by my cousins as well.

Hope this helps answer your question.

I had an experience once.

After I had prayed, I was relaxing and was listening to some music. Then suddenly I realised something happening. It was then that I fealt that GOD / Supernatural Power was talking to me through the lyrics of the songs that I was hearing.

It was really amazing. I felt like a child.

I also had a dream that i was in what i think was heaven there were lots of clouds and i was standing on them, in front of me was a hughe rock and behind it were two stretched arms asking me to go to them. At that time i was only 15 yrs old. The voice was telling me it was time to go w/him. and i knew it was God, i could no see his face only for a split second i saw his profile but i can't describe it all i know is that it was God and i felt so at peace w/ myself. I kept on telling him i could not leave my parents & sister all alone that they would die of sadness and he then told me he would let me stay but that i would go thru a lot of sadness if i decided to go back, i then told him i loved him but that my parents needed me now, after that a black thunder hit me and i felt i was falling out of the clouds & then hit the floor, that is when i woke up and i had tears in my eyes i could not stop crying because it had felt so beautifull. To many this may not be anything more than a dream but to me it was a one-on -one conversation with God. One that i will never forget althought it has been over 13 years.

Yes, I've got a personal story to share with you. It happened when I was 17. I had a penpal from H.K. through a classmate who was my penpal's friend, and they met in H.K. My mom didn't like me to exchange letters with him, so I stopped writing him. Even so, my heart still ached. One evening I poured my heart out to God, and then I heard a loud voice like thunder asking me, "Did you regret?" I'd never heard such a loud voice before or after, and I knew it was God demanding an answer from me.

I had a dream that I was talking to God, but I couldn't see his face. The dream related to the fountain of life and when I went to my bible the next day, I found the passage where the fountain of life was mentioned. It was then and there that I started to believe truthfully. I don't know if this seems like a first hand experience to you, but it certainly is to me.

When I was young I used to be really scared of my basement Bear with me while I explain.....there was an ashtray down there that had a cobra rearing up out of it and it had little red rhinestones for eyes....you have to understand that when I was a child I used to think that stuffed animals and statues etc came alive at night while you were sleeping or left the room....So anyway I used to see big glowing red eyes after (eww its giving me chills thinking about it) I turned off the lights down there on my way up the stairs (which I always had to run up because of the intense feeling that something would grab your leg) At the time I was scared but I just thought it was the cobra on the ashtray coming to life after I left so I never thought of it as a ghost or anything and I never told my Mom or brothers and sisters about it because to me it was a normal thing for inanimate objects to come alive and I knew what it was. After many years passed we were all talking about ghosts etc and especially about that house we used to live in and the wierd feeling you would get going up the basement stairs.....I had never forgotten the thing about the eyes but I thought it was just my imagination when I was young exagerrating my belief of things coming to life, but I mentioned to my Mom and siblings that I used to see red eyes (or so I thought) and told them about the whole snake/ashtray thing. I thought that they would think it was funny but they all just looked at me and said they had all seen red eyes in the basement more than once when we lived at that house and my Mom told be that she had my dad cover the backs of the stairs (so they werent open) because of the feeling that something would grab you. I couldnt believe it it freaks me out to this day that we all saw the same thing and felt the same feeling in the basement but just never told eachother because we all thought it was just imagination.

okay my experiece was quite a different sort... i was visiting my grandma quite some ways away and every night when I would go to sleep I would see in my freams my best friend sleeping with my fiancee ... I was down there a week and by the time I got home I knew that they had in fact slept together.. When I got arround to my best friend she pulled me aside and told me that she did sleep with my fiancee but she didn't know he was with me. I found it to be really weird. because normally I would have been totally hurt and mad but i guess since I already knew without her or him telling me.. it hurt less. and because of that I was able to forgive them for their actions.
