Seriously, have they repeated the 1966 feat since then? No.
Honduras still reminisces about their 1982 World Cup participation and replay the events and goals of that WC on tv -- how pathetic.
And so does Zaire, Haiti, Wales, Cuba, Iraq, Kuwait, UAE, North Korea, New Zeland, Canada -- what a bad company for England to be in.

Not so much the engish just the pundits.
they managed to fit the england team, englands wins in the groups and winning the world cup in'66 inthe angentina v holland game at least once every 90 seconds and england games it's even more.

Everyone acts like it was the best thing in the British history, how great it was blah blah blah.
I wish we won the world cup so people can JUST MOVE ON!!!!

yes to right. its their commentators who wind me up the most you can be sitting watching a game with no English connections at all and still they manage to talk about 66 or England somehow .sometimes we used to sit and count how many times England will be mentioned .just for a laugh. it all ways gets into double figures

Yeah but they only won it through incompetent officials and because they made sure all their games were at wembley and didn't have to travel all over the country like the other teams

Absolutely. It is really pathetic.
But they go on too much also about the few other achievements they have, especially being amongst the winners of WW II and WW I.
