I mean, there was a time when one could watch MTV and hear different types of music, not just stupid pop stuff u hear on the radio. Today, this is the ONLY kind of music they play. Do u agree with me when i say they have taken the shows, commercials, and pop star stuff too far?

yesh, when i was younger i used to love MTV cause it had pretty much everything and the channel was pretty much always video's. Now there are only like 3 hours of actual video's played on their and for most of it they play it at like 5 in the morning so yesh it is ****** up and i truely hate them now cause i never hear anything other than pop and r&b and **** like that and if you do ever hear a slightly rock releated song you have a a flock of people who become "fake" fans in my opinion so yesh they have gone too far

MTV TOTALLY SUCKS. IT IS NOW THE Black ghetto gangster scumbucket drug dealer loser network. THere is NO talent on that chanel anymore period. Nothing but a bunch of untalented Black loser rappers like 50 cent and little john. The VJs are total losers as well. Actually. . . the VJs are a bunch of total jack offs! Do they even show any videos anymore? And here's a question for you. How come nobody in the rap videos ever has a job? Oh wait. . thats right. . nobody in that culture does have a job. . unless you count dealing drugs or being a pimp or thief a job. WHat a sorry state the music industry is in the United States. Run by a bunch of thugs and criminals. I'm not a racist. . or at least not too much of one but anyone can see the black rap culture has destroyed the music industry in this country and totally lowered the bar on artistic talent. And before you call me too much of a racist I also think Eminem is a total piece of garbage as well. Credit him and the black rappers for making their money but no talent at all. Every song and video is the same. A bunch of gorillas waving their arms and a bunch of sell out cheap hoochie mamma tramps rubbing their skanky butts up against them. Look at 50 cent. . .do you think anybody will be playing his crap ten years from now. . . HELL NO! 50 cent makes Vanilla Ice look like Shakespear!!!

there is nothing good anymore on mtv. they don't hardly play any music. if so its only early in the morning or when trl comes out. i grew up with Mtv in the 80's i know that music had to change, but they totally when over board with reallity shows and nothing but rap and hip hop. all u see is trash, and trash. i agree with you, and i missed the rock music they had in there and also the pop music. just say this nothing but sex on mtv. mtv sux now.

No to be honest with you MTV keeps setting the line and I dont want to be one that helps it keep putting a new one in the sand. Now you can almost see an hour of crappy music on there, BUT at least it is an hour. Same with VH1 but at least some of the music on there is good. Personally I tune into Fuse its better and they play good music. (for now)!

yea MTV sucks, but MTV 2 actually still plays all the good alternative stuff and they actually have music videos.

Se I think dat MTVs crossed their line way back dat u cant even c d line. it keeps playingstupid Hindi songs, its so bad dat I'd rather listen to radio than Mtv. they play good english songs only after midnight, wen everybodys sleeping.Its so damn irritating

Oh yeah, they crossed it long ago. At first ehy played everything 'cause they needed videos to fill their airtime. Now it's just crap, crap, and more crap.
But, we can always go back to the time when there were no music vids. I mean, it's the song, not how the band looks, right?
