If you have been very sexually active for the past 10 years with the same partner then there is probably a problem. What you should do is go to the doctor. If you do want a child at your age then you will probably need to get medical help. Getting pregnant after the age of 35 makes you a high risk pregnancy, even more so after the age of 40. You should find out about the fertility issues you are having. Good Luck!

What you describe happens a lot - to us for six years too. There are several things you can do for pregnancy. Like, staying on the bed for 1/2 hour after sex, taking your temperature each morning to notice that slight rise when you are ovulating, having sex more often, etc. Somethings you can just do nothing and Surprise, you're pregnate! You can also see you're ob/gyn for any problems you might not be aware of. Otherwise, just enjoy the situation.

At 42 years old, I had had more than one "ovarian cyst". I found out later that it was part of my being hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) something else I did not get diagnosed for until age 42. Ovarian cysts - polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) are a naturally occurring form of birth control - but they can be very painful, and possibly dangerous.

You may want to search Yahoo!Answers for PCOS, as it is asked regularly, and has gotten some great answers.

For basic information on hypoglycemia, check out www.hufa.org. For basic information on hyperinsulinemia the precursor condition for hypoglycemia, check out www.mayoclinic.com and search for hyperinsulinemia.

You may be dissapointed when you surprise your partner with a baby and he runs for the hills. Your chances of pregnancy are non-zero, and your chances of having a child with a serious birth defect (such as down's syndrome) goes up each year after 30.

Pregnancy is a weird thing. But the older you get, the harder it is to get pregnant. When you're around your 20' it is easy getting pregnant, but by the time of 30', it gets harder and harder.
I hope for u that you'll get pregnant, but I don't think that you will. Your age is a factor in that.

Good luck

gamblers fallacy. unless you have fertility issues, the odds are the same you will get pregnant on every time you have sex, whether you have gone 10 years without it happening or 10 days.
