The average person watches television how many hours a day? It is a perfect medium for educating the people of the world and yet the best they can give us is a bunch of creeps living together in a house who can't get along and are paid not to. This archaic device called the TV is still in every home and is a great opportunity for us all to learn...why is it not being used as such?

Most TV is a bunch of garbage except for PBS. As a teaching tool, we could be so proficient in so many areas that we should be ashamed of ourselves for wasting such an invention.

Bceause it's profit-oriented and people like the most to be entertained, not taught. There are many educating channels too, you only need to change the channel.
