can you receive text messages on prepaid phones like the nokia ones you buy at the store or something along those lines..? thanks!

Depends on the cellphone service provider and country like I use a hutch prepaid in India and get 3000 text messages free a month not valid for post paid customers...

yes you can, but each text will cost you just like each phone call will. I have prepaid cingular and they do cost. The only thing I'm not sure about is if you have to pay when someone sends you a text even if you don't open the text.

yes u can and yes it cost you regardless weather you open it r not. Remember if you get a text from a web site you can reply with stop ( most the time) and they will stop sending them to you.
Seeker can a person in the USA get that text plan?
