my BIL was given a 10 yr probated sentence. he has been clean since the day of his arrest.

He has returned to school to seek his Master's degree in Substance Abuse Counseling (might as well use what you know) and is working as an assistant counselor at a substance abuse facility for kids.

My neighbor was in prison for 6 years and at first face much haste in finding a job. but he did go back to school and got a electrician job and is happy as one can be and makes more than a lot of people i know.

I know a gentleman who was in prison for 4 years. When he got out, he decided to change his life around. He now owns a number of businesses and does very well for himself. He retired 20 years after getting out of prison.
