I read somewhere that the population would continue increasing until 12,000,000,000 (12 billion, about 5 billion more than now), then it would drop until the Earth had enough replenishable resources again.

Actually the entire world population can fit inside Alaska
with a 16th of an acre to themselves, that would
leave the entire rest of the world EMPTY!
