If you are using the correct one for your self they are very effect. But anytime you have sex you are at risk. Oral sex can also transfer STD's. So it is best to really really know the person you are going to be with and understand the correct use of condoms. Never leave it to the women to protect against STD's and babies. If you don't want children wear a rubber! Every time!

It's pretty good against sex diseases. If you just use it the right way, it will help. Open the condom the right way, not with your teeth, or somebody with long nails, and use the condom properly.

It varies. Condoms break. They don't prevent sexual transmission of diesease, they just reduce the chances. Sex is like a game of Russian Roulette. Without a condom, you're playing with a 6 chamber gun and a bullet in one of the chambers. With a condom, you're playing with a 15 chamber gun, with a bullet in one of the chambers.

It's scary because condoms break all the time!! Wait until you are in a committed relationship and then both should get tested before you have sex.

Not safe at all. While using a condom will prevent unwanted pregnancies, it will not protect you from STD's. You still risk getting HIV, Chlamydia, Syphilis, etc. There is nothing out there that will prevent getting STD's. Is it worth it?
