What do I have to do as far as the legal end of marriage? How far in advance do I have to apply for a marriage license? How much does it cost? Where do I go to apply for a marriage license? What personal documents will I need for me and my fiancee? Will both of us need to be present when we apply? I live in Ohio -- and my wedding is October 28th -- I'm just trying to think ahead :)

I got married 3 years ago and I think the fee was like $32. You will need both your birth certificates and divorce papers if you've ever been married before. You will both need to be there and you can get it 30days before the wedding. You will have it signed and sent in by your officient and they will send you the actual licence in the mail.

good luck.

Call the courthouse and ask...(thats where u get the marriage license from (i think))I would be checking it out if your weddings coming up that soon..try the courthouse..they should be able to tell u....(they should be able to tell u all the stuff you'll need with u,how much it'll cost and how far in advance u need to do it)cost will probably be like$40 or 50 bucks(just a guess here)documents probably licenses and birth certificates, and yes i would think both of u need to be there when u go apply! So they can verify everything....i think u only have to go 30 days in advance but don't quote me here(not specifically sure)and i'm from ohio too.

Go to your court house to get the license and they can answer your other questions too.
