oh wow...that is a great question!! :o) Never thought of that...now you got me thinking!!! Can't wait till I hear what the others have to say....but you are right....they should especially the great ways we can alter shows. I just told my husband not a few days ago....when we came across the Clash of the Titans while we were watching TV...and flipping through channels...and I told him...boy now that we have great computer animation and creations, I bet they could do a remake of this movie...and it could be exciting to watch!!!!

The Muppets Wizard of Oz was released last year.

But I'm also surprised that Hollywood didn't do more to cash in on the book's 100th anniversary 6 years ago.

i dont think they know how to go about it?
i mean you cant remake classics like that. take a look at Sound of Music, Gone with the Wind, Seven brides for seven brothers, Magnificent Seven or even the Good the bad and the ugly. they should just leave them as they are not ruin the image we have and the joy the movie brought us. just look at what they did to the remake or The King and I. shame!!!!!!!

why would you want them to remake a classic?? Just so they can ruin another classic?? I like it the way it is, no need for new actors and all the new age stuff, even though I am young, I think if it was made today it wouldnt be as good, i.e. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory/Willy Wonka....

Maybe it's not worth the risk of having a total flop. But if they did do it I think that Meg White of The White Stripes would be a perfect Dorothy.

There is no reason to re-make the movie. It is a classic. Re-making movies sometimes just cheapens the originals.

Typically it would cost to much to make nowadays..but being a classic I dont think it can be duplicated without alot of critisism, and doubt anyone would want that riding on them!

because remakes are, for the worst part, suck...our luck Lindsay Lohan would be Dorothy and Paris Hilton would be the wicked witch
