Damn! I was going to mention spelling too but you guys beat me to it. see also YAER and CHARACTIRISTIC which we have two options on, both wrong.

However, I have a VERY talented son who is 'moderately' dyslexic and maybe this questioner has dyslexia. After all, if taking a masters, has already got through a substantial amount of work. So let's root for the student?

Spell checkers are useless if you are dyslexic. If a mis-spelt word is high-lighted with four or five options the dyslexic person has no idea which of the options is the correct one.

The WAY to write a thesis is to type the information systematically into a computer and remember to back up your data often. You should be able to obtain a style guide from the university.

I object to comments about dyslexia, I am dyslexic and I can spell very well thank you, I also find the spell check on the computer to be generally useful until I type words such as heteroskedasticity.

I'm guessing you have collected all your data then.

Discuss the format and layout of your thesis with your tutor/adviser. This is what I did when writing my MSc by Reasearch thesis. Its a good way to start, at least then you know how they want it laid out!

I also advise using spell check, getting a friend (who is good at spelling and grammar) to check it as well as your tutors checking it through.

Its gret when its finished, my uni gave me a properly bound copy of it which looks like a hard back book. You look at it and think, "I've writte a book!".

Firstly, where is your area? If it's in the UK you can start off at the Met Office website - www.metoffice.com.

Secondly, make sure you have a good spell check on your computer.
