Depends how you look at it. For me, it is a demonstration of strength not to let anger get ahold of you. But to keep it and let it hang there for a long time is a weakness. You have to also learn to handle anger and frustration, not just hide it. Let it go, forgive, relax, take it easy. After this, you dont even have to carry it at all, its not there.

I believe that it can be both. If keeping your anger and frustration inside yourself leads you somewhere, then I think it's strength. For example if you have a terrible boss, who doesn't accept any criticism and is close to driving you mad day by day, but the job as such is very good and you can count on a real career, or you can finance your studies AND have enough time for learning, then keeping it inside yourself will help you reach your targets and dreams, so it's got to be strength.
But if someone is just too scared of standing up for their own rights, although they could find a similar job quite easily, then it's definitely weakness to keep such bad feelings inside.

But I think it very much depends on the situation. I was just picking one possibility, like a "job situation". But if I would have to generalize this, I'd say: Keeping anger and frustration inside yourself, because it helps you to get something better out of life, so if it's kind of actively suffered by knowing where it leads you to, it's strength. But if keeping all that inside yourself comes from being yellow and if it happens for no good reason, so if there's no hope that it will in a different way make your life better, then I'd call it weakness. I'd even go a step further and name it stupidity.

But that's just my personal point of view ...
:)

Does it seem a very sensible thing to retain anger and frustration in oneself for THREE YEARS !!!!
Can it stay inside and yet sit quite?
Well, if you can keep anger and frustration even for while, it is excellent. You get the MUCH needed 'gap' to examine what this anger and frustration is all about. And this very examination done consciously would reveal that it is merely due to mis-match of expectation. Corrective action either to yourself or to others depending upon the situation will happen and simultaneously dissolving these two things(anger & frustation) and leave you vacant enough in the inside to allow love to flow in !!

Weakness. Anger always has to come out eventually, it doesn't simply dissolve inside of you. It'll stay there and the more you add to it, the bigger and more consuming it becomes. If you keep it inside you for long enough, you will eventually burst and let it all out, and you may be likely to let it out in a way you would never normally do that could cause harm to yourself or someone else, either mentally or physically.

It is definately a weakness, all the anger and frustration kept for three years will eventually burst because everyone of us have our limit to what we can accept and when we can't accept anymore all the anger and frustration would flow out in a very inappropriate and brutal way.My advice to you is be careful, maybe you can share your anger and frustration to someone you can trust. Then it wouldn't be that bad.

Keeping the anger inside oneself is a weakness. Learning about what made you angry and resolving it, or forgiving, is a strength.

Both It's good that you show control over your anger, but keeping it on the inside will kill you in the long run, Plus, It keeps you from feeling. Talk to someone, write it down, if it is a person that is frustrating you talk to that person and tell them how you feel. Just remember to keep your composure and to remain calm. Please do not keep it in any longer.

keeping anger inside of you too start with is not healthy at all,,, so its not showing that you have strength ,,, its showing that you are weak cause you don't have the abilty too stand up and express yourself and let the anger out of you,,,, no matter what the situation is at hand ,,, you should always be able too express how you may feel by holding back the anger you can cause yourself problems inside of you,,,, be strong- - god gave us a mouth too use,,, so use it,,,,, know when and where and how too use it,,,,,but never hold in anger,,,,,,

Weakness, bec the true wise man realizes the emptiness of all but wisdom and therefore has very little to get angry about anyway.
