That is not possible becoz both are the units for different entities .. Pounds is the unit of mass of weight and the the psi is the unit for pressure or force, however if you are looking for conversion between psi and tons/mm .. then it is
1 psi = 4.44 kg per square mm
= 4.44 * (10)^-3 tons per square mm

I assume you want to know how much pressure is exerted by a number of tons? You must know the area that it is being exerted on.
tons*2000/(area in square inches) = psi
For example, a steel block weighing 10 tons sitting on a floor covering 10 square feet exerts:
10 *2000/(10*144) = 13.9 psi on the floor

Hi Mikee,
"Ton" is the unit of weight and "psi" is unit of pressure. So, the conversion is not appropriate. However, you may want to convert as below:
1 metric ton per square ft = 15.555 psi (pound per square inch)
1 US ton per square ft = 13.888 psi
1 metric to per square metre = 1.445 psi
If your desired conversion doesn't meet from the above you may use any conversion calculator on the net. You may download a free unit conversion calculator from http://www.Knowbotron.com.

The correct answer is 320psi ,or, where appropriate, 320psig (320 pounds (force) per square inch gauge). The style manual speculations below are ridiculous.

that would depend on the coverage area you are using..for eg...one square foot...or 144 square inches would equate to 13.88 lbs per square inch
