the country you were born in is your nationality; the country you reside in is your citizenship, if you hold papers to certify it; the two countries may not necessarily be the same

nationality is the country of your birth .
citizenship is the country where you can vote.u can have citizenship of two countries .eg. football players from brazil are playing in spain have both country citizenship but thei nationality is brazil
