pre-op transexual still has his/her sex organ,post-op they do not.after all it is called sexual reassignment surgery.

Sexual re-assignment surgery. That is the post op has had her penis and testicles removed and had an artificial vagina built by her doctor.

Is this really a rhetorical question used to state that what really matters here is not someones state of surgical alteration, as that matters only to the individual, but in social interaction what matters is that they are people and deserve to be treated as members of their identified as opposed to birth sex.

Pre - the term that marks a time period of "before" an act or situation occurs. (i.e. Miles would like to have his breasts removed, so he states that he is "pre-op.")
Post - the term that marks a time period of "after" an act or situation occurs. (i.e. Miles had his breasts removed, so now he identifies as "post-op.")
The whole concept is REALLY very simple...especially if you paid any attention at all in English class! *smile*
