People have so many projections on the outside world.
Try it yourself. Look at somebody in the street, a stranger.
You dont even know the person - but you already analyse and categorize and decide what kind of person he is, sometimes even emotions come up.
And you dont even know the person.
Not that a person can really be know ;).

The brain will only receive what it is ready to accept. People tend to not even "register" bad things around them when they don't have the capacity to process it or address it. As a child abuse advocate, I believe this is what causes some parents to completely deny their child has been abuse in spite of all the physical evidence to the contrary.
