Mentally by visiting a cemetary and seeing the alternative of what would have happened if you didnt get the masectomy...physically by using mind over matter, you can deal with everything if you don't let negativity enter the equasion....my mother had a masectomy in 1977, and she is still in the land of the living. The difference between survivors and loosers is they are positive....

my friend told me she is afraid of having boyfriends because her body in missing a breast and she is ashamed of it. she thinks a man will be turn off by looking at the scaring. It does not cause her balancing problems it cause her adjusting to wearing different style of blouses she loved tube tops and halters.
