My father is having alot of pain from his hernia (in his lower abdomin) but he is afraid to have the surgury, bc he has a very bad heart and has had some strokes. Is there any danger in him having these surgurys? (please cite references, if u have any. thanks)

Danger in any surgury, the dangers increase with age. Ask his doctor, maybe the danger of surgury is less than long term use of pain killers / living with pain.

Try prayer, contact Benny Hinn ministry and get them to pray for your father. God loves his and wants him well.

no, i dont think your dad will have any problem or danger if he undergoes hernia surgery. get him thoroughly checked and take doctor's advise, age doesnt matter for any surgery, as long as the person is hale and hearty. please tell your father not to lift any hard things or heavy materials that will upset him. take care of him and your affectionate approach will make wonders. best of luck.

It is ok to remove the hernia. But, of course, the doctor must first try to normalize his heart. How old is your Dad? I am sure, your family doctor knows about it. But please don;t let your Dad to carry heavy objects. And serve him with oatmeat to make is easier for him to move his bowel without any pressure at all.
GOD BLESS.

depending on his age and medical history, they surgeons might be unsure of puttin him under a general...and also his re covery time might be slower...

but in saying that, he could still be quite young and the operations maybe quick and simple...all of this would depend on your specialist, talk to him and ask him lots of questions.

also, dont be afraid to get a second opinion, its your dads health, not a car. lol.

good luck with it, and good luck to your father as well.
