tear does not take much time to dry but the reason for that one tear takes a very long time to heal.

If you wipe it it will be dry immediately. If you let it drip off your face then that would depend upon climactic conditions. Humidity would cause it to take longer to dry. Quite a question! I recommend the former method.

Nobody waits till a tear drys.........we wiped it away in less than 30 seconds.

Scientifically...Depends on the temperature of the skin, the general environmental conditions, and the potassium content of the tear.

Is it basal,reflex or crying ? Basal is a healthy tear. Reflex is a tear due to irritation such as onion. Crying tear is one to be careful about. It needs tender touch to dry.

I guess that would depend on certain factors such as, is the person hot? This could mean evaporation I guess, is it windy if outside, this would half the time.
