Yes, the reason the divorce rate seems so high is it's linked to the number of marriages not couples. People who remarry and divorce several times skew the fact and make it seem that half the people are getting divorced, but that's not true at all.

Oh, yes, but it is rare. The thing is, both spouses need to work on it, constantly, so it will work out. It doesn't happen of itself. Nor does it happen if only one spouse takes the load. But it does happen, and when it does, the heavy work is wonderfully rewarded. (the family where I grew up did not have it, but my host parents, when I was a year in the USA, restored my faith in the institution).

Good luck!

Of course there is.
However, no marriage is 100% happy all the time.
It is the getting through the problems together & becoming stronger for it that makes it a happy marriage. It doesn't just happen. It has to be worked at.

Sure thing. We are so goofy in love after 10+ years it's embarrassing. During one of those drive-through car washes last night, our 5 year old son asked "Do you guys ALWAYS have to kiss when we are getting a carwash?" And we replied that it's worked for us for 13 years!!!
