A common product used to kill rats is Warfarin. It is also known as Coumadin. Coumadin is used as a medication for people as a "blood thinner". It prolongs how long it takes for your blood to clot. If someone has accidentally consumed to much of this as rat poison, they will have signs of bleeding - either nose bleed or intestinal bleeding. Too much can be fatal to people. An overdose can be treated with Vitamin K and Fresh Frozen Plasma. Rat killer can be dangerous for pets - so you must keep the product away from pets and also make sure that pets do not come in contact with rats or mice that have been killed this way.

yes.

Rats are notoriously though creatures and anything that kills them will kill a human.

In toxicology they use rat LD50 and mouse LD50, abbreviation for "Lethal Dose, 50%" or median lethal dose of a poison or radiation is the dose required to kill half the members of a tested population. That's a dose per kg body-weight.

Rat LD50 is commonly assumed to be lethal to man.
