i discoved finger prints on my daughter's neck only the next day when i was bathing her. This is not the 1st time that a child in this particular teachers care choked my child and we have complained to the principal and teacher in the past, so i waited for the weekend to finish & when i got back to work on monday i called her teacher & explained my concern. her answer was Ï do not appreciate u calling me on my holidays & she went on & on about how I was disturbing her vactionn. The next step I called the principal & also got a mouthful & was brushed of from her & how I was not supposed to call over the holidays and i upset the teacher over her holiday while she was with her children on the beach. Now, i send my child to private school & did not expect to get such appauling response. Do i take my child out of this school or what do i do? can somebody seriously give me some advice or if there is teacher or principal out there tell me if you would handle the situation differently.thank u

If you have talked to the teacher and the principal and they haven't done anything, go to the administrator in charge of the private school. Don't just go to complain and demand something be done, but have a plan of action ready. Be ready and willing to work with the administrators to develop a way to ensure the safety of your child. If something else happens, make sure you document everything. Have concrete evidence (pictures, phone records of calling the school, etc.) to present. Make sure that you have talked to the parents of the other child too. The teacher is responsible for ensuring the safety of others in his or her classroom, but we can't watch every child for every second of every day. Get everyone together and find a way to work it out. If that still doesn't work, hire a lawyer and find a new school. By the way, I apologize to you on behalf of my collegue, she didn't need to be so rude when you called because you were concerned for the welfare of your child.

YES! And I would go to the school board or board of education in your county or city to report them. Also take pictures of your childs neck as evident and document everytime you've contacted the teacher and principal. This type of behavior is unexceptable and whether its a holiday or during the week, they should have contacted you when the incident happened. If you know who the parents of the child is I would contact them and let them know you would be filling a report with the police since this is the second incident. We live in a world where kindergartners kill each other in the classroom so I wouldnt take any chances with my childs safety. God Bless and good luck that the situation will get handled correctly.

Hopefully you took pictures of the bruising. First, I wouldn't send my child there anymore. Obviously they don't care and why would you want to send your child to a place that allows this to happen? Second, I would contact an attorney. Third, I would have that attorney file a formal complaint with both the school board (or board of directors since it's a private school) and the police. Finally, I think I would send my child to public school where the teachers/principals are more accountable. Good luck!

If your child can identify which of her classmate did so, maybe you can have a quiet conversation with the classmates parents... not making it sound like a complaint but as parental advice.

Then try again by making an appointment with the principal & teacher together - without stating the detailed reason.. and meet him/her with another witness, if possible someone with legal knowledge.

Remember, if you dont take action now.. it will keep happening to other children as well.. these situations also affect the children psychologically .. so please handle it with utmost care ..

That is unbelieveable! Raise a huge fuss, you need to at least threaten to take your kids out of the school, if nothing is done about it then do it. Did you take pictures of your daughters neck? You need to start documenting this and it's unbelievable that it has happened more than once. Most importantly, don't stop with taking your children out of their school for their safety, tell the school that if you need to remove your kids that you will be filing a law suit against them because they refused to protect your child while she was in their care. If that doesn't get their attention and a huge apology for your treatment when you had a very important reason to call and 'disturb ms. teacher' on her vacation, then nothing will.

Disrupting their "holidays"...please!

Call the police. Seriously. They'll work on the case for you no problem.

The response by the school is appalling and they need to learn that if they won't answer to the parent for the behavior, they're still accountable to law enforcement for allowing this form of abuse to go on while fully aware of it.

Call the police....let them do a thorough investigation on what happened. Its obvious the adults are being quite negligent. The police don't care if these jerks are on vacation.

Don't forget to seek legal advice as well, but for now call the police...at least they are free.

Protect your child at all cost! You have a legitimate concern. It sounds like the school is not offering proper care.

Contact a lawyer and ask for a advice.
