Probably a lot.

Yet Blair is spending 25 billion renewing the trident nuclear warhead system in our country. I consider that a real waste of cash.

The running of a major project cannot be made into a democracy. I know that sounds awful but you just can't. It just does not work because decisions cannot be made, delays will ensue with every revelation and in the end this in itself will raise the cost.

Most people do not understand the processes that are involved in running a major construction project. Contracts, schedules and programmes, technical requirements, etc.

What is the point of publishing figures of how much consultants cost if the people barely understand what these consultants do? Even if they do, what are they going to do with that knowledge? Criticise something that's beyond their knowledge? Call for a public enquiry into why it's costing so much (which will in itself cost more money and waste a lot of time and resources)?
