Girls wear panties for the following reasons:
To protect the private area (when wearing tight fits)
During the month when over exerted the women has problem of regular discharge
some girls forget their period days and can get their cloths dirty so to prevent it to some extent
In USA ( I read in some article) more than 50% gals do not wear penties
enough for u I guess

Cause some (most?)guys like to peek up their skirts.
They hold their pads in place.
Some panties are very sexy and girls want to feel sexy.
The girl I hang out with doesn't wear them very often.
