You need to change your password at the DOS level or access your Windows directory from another partition if you have one and change it that way.

I wish I could remember what the DOS command is for that, but it's been a long time since I've had to do that so I can't remember. Hopefully someone else can if you don't know it.

Yes, enggkid is correct.. When you restart ur computer, keep pressing F8. Then scroll to Safe Mode on your screen and bunches of files will pop up, after about 10 seconds, it will display the welcome screen with only administrator accounts.. The Administrator account, which is cloaked, can only be viewed from there open it up and hit start, run..., and type in control userpasswords2. Then, you should be able to reset ur password

Unless you changed it, the actual administrator account defaults to no password in XP. Login to safe mode as user

administrator

There should be no password, unless you've changed it.

Then you can go to user accounts and fix your problem.

try logging in using administrator account in safe mode. you can only see it in safe mode. and then cancel the password for your account. then try it if you can log in using your account. please let me know if it works.
