You know, when someone asked us how old we were.."I'm 8 and a half". When did that go away?

when you wanted to be older so you could do more stuff like go to the shops or skating by yourself " ohhh come on mum I'm 10 and a half i may aswell be 11 I'm not a little kid anymore" It just wouldn't sound right as a adult " Ohhh comon honey I'm 31 and half can i pleeeese have those shoes" I may try it next time though.

Yep its still used, especially by those 12 and younger..and at 15.17 and 20..those mark significant ages with a threshold..=)I think it ends when you realize age is just a number with a future...

Most of the time, it usually disappears by the time you leave elementary/grade school.

The comical thing is... I think the "and a half's" come back when you reach your (age) 90's! *LOL*
