well, i have a student working with me and he is way too young like he's 19 and im 25. My officemates keep teasing him about me, doing matchmaking.. and unfortunately he fell for it, he fell for me... i am going abroad someday and i also have a 2year old daughter and also a boyfriend(my girl's dad). well they know that my relationship with my bf is not doing well lately.. i just want him to stay like the way it is.. but when i told him that both of us can't cross that line, he tells me he's not going to work anymore which is not good.. because on the first place he helps us here at work even i was not hired yet.. i don't want to ruin everything....please... help..

twinks??? is that you?! i.... i thought.... i thought you really liked me....

just kidding... first of all, stop lying to the guy. it'll blow up in your face just like the "can't cross that line" thing did. be honest with him... that is your first obligation to him (and yourself). if the friendship is there in the end, great. if not, life goes on and his young heart will recover. don't overthink this. have the honest talk with him and take it from there.

by the way, he's not way too young for you. most 19 year old guys are still a bit immature, but that's a choice. if he's a good guy and somewhat mature enough to make you forget his age, he might be a good alternative to your current rocky relationship... which, by the way, should be the next question you post. my standard advice - let your head and heart argue all they want, follow your gut. it knows best.

What I would do is first off explain your situation to him. If he truely cares for you he will back off, because no guy with a heart would do that to a girl he cares about. Second if that doesn't work, wait till you're settled in your job and such then tell him to stop. That way you wouldn't jepordize things. God bless ~Jayson

Very sensitive matter , you have to really spend some time with this young lad , he is not in his sense & not able to understand the mature responsibility , must have a very long chat , explane him your responsibility towards your child and fly , make him realise & explain between infatuation and love & responsibility , i am sure you will succeed .

U can't remain friends if he truly fell for u. Never works. He's better off trying to find another job. It would be too painful for him to go in there everyday.

Tell him if not working anymore is what it's going to take for him to get over this then so be it. He can be replaced at work.
