It's the old nature vs nurture debate.
Do you think that it is just in some people's nature to be evil?
And regardless of their upbringing and influences, they will wish to commit evil deeds? For example Bundy and Dahmer...

yes I do believe that some people have a predispositon to be evil. I feel the same about extreme intelligence. The average "normal" person can get to those extreme levels but I believe some just have in in their blood.

No.and its neither nature vs nurture but nature with nurture and short term influences like tragic n violent experiences. No single factor could be attributed to the nature of a human being. In a crux, its upbringing, genetic factors, influences, environment and the consequential psyche.

I am torn between that debate ... I always beleived it was the bringing up not necessarily by the parents but peers, school teachers etc. that made a person evil but after meeting pathologically cruel people with very nice families ... I have changed my mind, yes I think its a foetus thing - there is a 'mean' gene and some people have it.

People are born with sins but they all have been purified by the death of Jesus. It is all depend on the person him/herself whether they want to do good or bad deeds. The devil wants men to always be evil but He wants men to be not. They both give efforts to fulfill they wants. It is people's freewill to choose which one they want to take. Their choices are what affect them, whether they want to commit evil deeds or good deeds.

Such bulls***. We decide how we act in life not our genes and not God or whoever else. Being born evil is just a lame excuse for murderers and others like that.

I think so...though their nature can be kept out of their lives if they were nurtured right...though in most cases I think that what you are born with is what you will become...nature first, nurture second.

No.

people who are alienated and suffer many mental maladies aren't evil by fiat of birth... murdering people for sport makes sense to them, on the backdrop of their miserable existence.

Why do the US marines and infantry find joy in killing "ragheads"? Same reason.

People are born with the capacity to do good or evil. It depends on how they react to life experiences which they choose to use.

Absolutely yes!

I know several families where the children were raised exactly the same and yet each displayed totally different personality traits and behavior.

No. I believe that as you grow older, and figure out life, you will develop your own way of thinking, whether it's evil or good.
