Good Luck

Keep yourself as busy and as happy as you can. If you are out with friends try doing something physical like throwing a frisbee around or something. Walk around the shops on a sunday or in the evening. Go to the park and do a couple of circuits chatting at the same time. Give yourself a project to do (something personal and fun) like ordering and labelling all your old photos and a time limit so you feel a sense of achievement when it's done.
Whatever you do, don't think about eating and what to eat all the time. If you obsess about food you will get very tired of it and pick up bad habits (like smoking! Which idiots suggested that?!!) Also your friends will get tired of you obsessing. Sorry, but it's true.
What makes you happy?

Plenty of water as said in the answer before also try and keep yourself busy with interesting things, this will help keep your mind off food, boredom is your worst enemy whilst on a diet, Remember the more exercise you take the more you can eat....excersise does not have to be boring going riding a bike canoeing climbing or just visiting places....whatever you like really as long as it involves getting up and moving around, also try to put that little extra energy into everything you do.
Losing weight is not about eating less it is about using up the energy you put in
good luck

You shouldn't eat three big meals a day, but about 5 small ones. NEVER stop eating or skipping meals, it just makes your body go into starvation mode and hold onto all the fat, and then when you DO eat you'll hold every last bit of fat in it. Also, drink a full glass of water before every meal. It'll make you feel fuller and more satisfied with your meal and stop you from craving salty and sugary snacks throughout the day. PLEASE don't stop eating, it'll RUIN your metabolism and just make you put on more weight.

eat a good healthy breakfast high in fibre like branflakes this will keep you going till dinner, keep some fruit in your bag incase you feel like snacking before then. drink loads of water throughout the day avoid tea and coffee with meals as this stops the iron in your food from digesting properly and makes you feel more hungry. eat a sensible dinner don't over fill yourself as this stretches the gut and lets you eat more and get more hungry, don't chew gum as this makes your stomach think your eating and sets of the acids in your stomach and causes stomach ulcers as there is nothing to digest. eat some crackers of something mid afternoon and then have your tea and maybe some toast before bed. good luck with your venture

Want to lose weight but just can't seem to stop eating? Try drinking at least 2 glasses of water before your meal. Drinking subdues the appetite and tricks your stomach into feeling satisfied with less. You're definitely not starving yourself, and neither are you overeating. Perfect, isn't it?

Eat more slowly. Then you will get full faster before you eat too much. It's a good way to lose weight & be healthier wo/ having to make sacrifices.

At meal times eat very slowly. Your food goes down to your stomach and tells you you're full before you finish, if you eat fast the food can't get to your stomach to tell you your full so you eat a load of food you don't need.

Actually the more you eat throughout the day the
more slender you will be! Just remember its better
to have several small meals than three BIG ones.
Pick healthy meals and YES meat is good for you.
It does not make you fat.
