Ghana did well and showed Africa can be competitive again.

Germany, who were without a doubt the strongest team. They should have been in the final, where they would have beaten the French easily, given the poor state France was in on the night.
The Italians were even worse than the French, and - on merits of on-field performance - the least impressive of the last four teams in the tournament. Personally I do not think that they deserve to be World Champions, but unfortunately all that counts in Football at the end of the day is goals, and not quality and performance.
I was impressed by some of the African teams, and in particular with Ghana, who will have a bright future in Football if they keep up the good work. (And the next World Cup in four years' time is set to be the first played out in Africa...)

Over all i thought Germany Played the better games than most. i also think they should have won it. Italy only won against Australia by a dubious penalty decision. I don't know if anyone else feels the same. But this world cup did not have the same Spark as other world cups have had. Probably just me.

Australia. Brilliant, tough, uncompromising, and FAIR! In a tournament with terrible refereeing, and even worse cheating, I think Australia set the standard for fair sportsmanship and honourable behaviour. Although not quite good enough and lacking the tricks of the trade, they punched well above their weight, and showed with a bit more major tournament expereince, they will be serious contenders in years to come...

In the sweep stake in work I has Japan and Austrailia but my favourite and who I was up for all the way through the tournament was France deffo
