Most celebrity marriages don't last many times because their careers/schedules take them in different directions, or had more fame that the other one and the lesser famous person feels slighted or jealous. In addition to that, they have very attractive people of the opposite sex constantly offering themselves.
As the reason for younger females marrying older males in the U.S., it is about money, things, power and status as they have already established themselves.

everyone had a right to marriage... men tend to look older than women so chosing a younger man will do for most ladies...

Its all a publicity stunts. People are obessed with celebrity life and it has to be fuelled one way or another. So the more stunts one can produce the more famous they are
