So what do the smart, intelligent individuals out there in the world think should be done with/about north korea?

North Korea's problem stems from the fact that its people lack both the means and the will to overthrow their oppressors in the government. The People of the USA suffer basically the same problem.

Arming the North Korean subjects would not facilitate a revolution, because those subjects have not been liberally educated: they know only that they lack the wisdom to form a new government any better than the one they already have.

Bush could "liberate" the North Koreans with a few nukes, but that would crap all over California, and he doesn't want to throw away those electoral votes.

Bush seems to think that radioactive US Citizens wouldn't be as eager to support Republicans -- but in that regard, he's very wrong: anyone supporting anything Bush has already done, is beyond any pain or reason to dissuade them from supporting anything he does (or might do) in the future: they either have no conscience at all, or the conscience they do have doesn't work.

Neither the USA nor the UN has the economic power to timely fix North Korea. For now, we should simply let them work on their own problems -- just as we should work to solve our own problems.

North Korea is very tricky..they are not alone..they have support from most communist and with russia going to ****, who can tell the future.. kim jong yels (spelling?) dad he tried to pull **** like this, just to get attention and aid from the rest of the world..his crazy son has a napolean complex..he is short and his country small...just like in the hood, the small guy walking with the thugs, is usually the craziest, even though most of the time its just alot of barking.. the thing that is really stupid is that people are getting upet about his missle cappabilities...thats all b.S., if he wanted missles to carry bombs across the ocean he can buy them from many sources, and also if he wanted to nuke this country all he would have to do is boat to mexico and walk it right on over to washington or new york, set a timer and dip...So its a bunch of talk for the momnet...I just hope that it stays talk until we can get a cool president that can be more diplomatic, then just a crazy cowboy

Well, the phrase "should be done with" is so American because for years now it's been only American politics that asks to "do things" to other countries.
Anyway, knowing that North Koreans are not weak so nothing will be done to them. No one will dare to shoot a single bullet on them. Only weak, Middle East, 3rd world countries - with oil - will be attacked in the name of "freedom".
