I've always maintained that men age better...but then I see an artfully beautiful woman like Emmylou Harris, gorgeous at 56, and re-think the argument. What do you think?

Men..but only because society deems it so..Men look cool with gray hair while women look older with gray showing..or so we are lead to believe..Personally I think both have their merits..you can tell who has taken better care of themselves in life by the time a person is 40..and those who feel young at heart are likely to remain graceful..=)

I don't think it is a male/female thing. I think it is an individual thing. Some people take better care of themselves, have a better outlook, and this transfers to their appearance.

Look at someone that is fairly young, but maybe drinks or does drugs. They look terrible, male or female. Nothing worse than a forty-something balding man with a beer gut, that thinks he is God's gift to the world, except maybe a woman that is a size 4 complaining about how fat she is.

I would have to say men because they don't feel the need to fill there age lines with caked on makeup cover there greys with dye and rush out for a nip and tuck. I know there are men who do but the ratio is huge. there are alot of gracefull beauties like Susanne Sarinton (excuse the spelling) who can hit their middle age years with poise and elegance and not be embarrassed by their years.

I think men to.You see, women need more care, more products, more time for them self, but men with a little bit of hygiene they are ready for the upcoming years.Yes, they are women who age gracefully,a lots...but looking in general men are more prepared for the years and aging without the sacrifice that women make.
