best amount of time between dating and the step towards marriage?

Three Years or more... In order to go to marriage ... you have to know the person like the back of your hand...alot of people change when they get married...so you have to know he/she is right for you and that you share the same interests

There is no set time, it all depends on the individuals. You could be engaged for many of years w/o being married, and that doesn't hurt anything. Just slow down, take your time, and when/if the time is right, one of you will propose to the other, then go from there.

I guess its up to you ,I would say a year atleast you want to get to know the other person, my brother proposed to girl after one week , what a mistake that would've been, we found out alot of bad things about her later. So yeah a year atleast .Take care.

Varies on the people involved. My wife and i dated for only 2 months before we were engaged. When lightning strikes, it's quick and intense...ya just know it.

there is no definite time. a couple just choose when they are ready but i think less than a year would be too soon
