I was in an auto accident a couple years back and was knocked out from the airbag. I thought I had caused the accident and was willing to accept the punishment and embarrassment for doing so.
Thanks to a person who witnessed the accident and relayed her eye witness testimony to the state patrol officer I was exonerated as being innocent. A young fellow had veered in front of me while I was sitting dead still waiting for an on coming car to pass so I could make a left hand turn and another car hit me head on. I was looking in my rear-view mirror and didn't know where he had come from. Here he had been waiting at a stop light and was speeding when he hit me. When I came to he was screaming that I was at fault.
The witness, bless her heart, was an ex-police officer.
