the whole world is trying to figure out what on earth actually happened down there...i am a zidane fan and i know that he is a bit short tempered...but if matterazzi could get him to blow his fuse in the final of the world cup he must have certainly said something horrible...zidane knew that its his last ever appearance and that the world cup is at stake so it certainly has got to be somethin pretty serious...
well as far as racial comments are concerned i dont think it would apply very much to zidane..its only the black players that are subjected to such horrible discriminations...but what he could have said should have been something related to his playing carreer or it could have been something personal as well..
henry and vieira has been the subject of racial discrimination in the past but not zidane............zidane knew he would be seen headbutting and would result in him being off but still he went through with it and was sent off...therefore it has to be something extremely bad that was said to him..otherwise i dont think he would have done such a thing in the worlds biggest stage..
to be honest i think matterazzi deliberately said something to incite zizou so that he would do something like this and get sent off...the italians might have realised that they could lose the game with zizou around.......whatever be the case it was still extremely disappointing for me to see a master of the game sent off in the grand finale of his career...extremely dissappointing...

hmmm. I'm half Italian, so I think I'm "allowed" to answer.
I am seeing all sorts of crazy accusations, from titty-twisters to Muslim slurs.
The truth is, there are only two people who know the answer to your question, and Zidane is one. Maybe some day he will tell us exactly what happened, but I doubt it. Verbal attacks are part of the game...that is what happens down there on the pitch as you watch safely from the stands or your couch. And it goes both ways too. You think the French had nothing to say all game long?
I admit I was for the Italian side, but after watching the 2nd half, I think France deserved the win...except Zidane lost his cool, and that cost them the trophy in the end.
Also, you shouldn't label a whole team as racist anyways, based on one incident.

I'd really like to know where you're getting these accusations against the Italian team from. Regardless of what the Italian player might have said, Zidane is at the very least just as bad for his violent reaction. The mark of a great man is to never counter words with violence.

Look if the Italian guy said something objectionable it is his problem. Not Zidane. You said - "Zidane is a wonderful person and a gr8 player". Sorry, I can't stand that. He should not have done that. He must know he was there for win the world cup, not for bull fighting. That was a terrible scene to watch.

Zidane Zinadine is realy a wonderfull player
france did not deserve to win,
Zidane deserves the golden tittle.
Zidane was realy outstanding throughout the tournerment,
he is one of the greatest players in the world but he did not have to behave like that in the big game and for all the world to see.
what ever it was he was also allowed to respond verbally, isnt that what they do in football? they attack each other with their big mouths aand only use big heads to score penalty shots!!!!!!!!!!!!
But believe me,that was his last appearance and that was realy a stupid way of ending a career, you just walk out without a smile but with a red card and big head down!
THAT WAS JUST ANOTHER ADDITION TO HIS FABULOUS MEMORIES,WE WILL REMEMBER A GREAT PLAYER FOR THAT TOO!

The racist claim has not been proven but come on every country has racist and I have heard the same claim be made about France. The fact is he should have kept himself in check for his team and didn't. He should have considered his exit and his team before he did what he did. What makes things worse is he was looking to make sure no one would see so he could try to get away with it. They were talking about the incident on tv and said he has done something similar before. he kicked someone in the back or something.

Oh my god. Can you please read your own question. You are saying that the italians are racists, but you are not even realising that you yourself is a racist. You are just terrible. Please think before you want to say something. My god you should be ashamed of yourself.
When will this racism finally stop
