I heard this was the 12th headbutt of his career so shame to Fifa for giving him a best player award and idolizing him.

Best player award was of course due to brazilian RONALDO for scoring even more goals than Pele'.

In the UK they mostly support Zidane but when asked if the Italian guy had been part of the English team they all say it would have been another matter.
They all want Portugal banned from next years games, I guess they all forgot a very special dive by Rooney that gave his team a very special Victory, wonder if anyone with 2 funcioning brain cells remembers that one.

My dear friend,Zidane's not an idiot,you stand no competition to the contribution he made to France,whatever happened yesterday was due to immense frustration he experienced becoz Buffon after saving Zidane's header exulted,and made Zidane feel bad,it was a nasty teaser frm Buffon,becoz the header had been awesome,also France had lost Vierra,and Materazzi was just trying to hold Zidanearound his waist,this creates humiliation,if u play football then you'll know it.I'll respect Zidane forever,and before making such remarks plz think twice about the circumstance in which Zidane was.Also Malouda had acquired a penalty when he tripped by Cannovaro,unfortunately it was not given,even this add fuel to a player's anger.

Zidane, despite the fact that he is probably the best football player at this time, is still a human. An he gets annoyed by certain things as we all do. I am certain that he did not strike the italian player with no provocation. Especially since he was walking away from him and then suddenly turned back after Materazzi said something at him. It was a bad moment that could happen at anyone under stress, and it is a shame that it happened to Zidane in his last game.

Materazzi obviously said something to wind Zidane up but that is nothing that doesn't happen every 15 seconds of every football match.

Zidane has been around long enough to know better.No matter what was said,there is no excuse for what he did.He deserved to be sent off and if he was to continue playing,he would get a 10 game ban.How they gave him the Golden Ball,I will never know.Whatever about the sending off,he was anonymous in France's opening 3 games.Cannavaro should have won it hands down.

The obvious he got offended. Have you never got offended in your life and because of that did something wrong?
I am sure he isn't the first one to get offended by Italians players when they don't come with something nasty from their mouth, they do something like hitting the us player in the game USA x Italy.
Unfortunately Zidane lost his head on the Italian's player chest.
PS: We all know in Sports players always offend each other during the heat of the game...Zidane should had kept himself under control...appears that wasn't the first time he does something like that and nothing that bad happened before, maybe he thought because now he was more Zidane than ever nothing would happen again.

Zidane is never an Idiot and he is not crazy.....Ask the Italian guy what he said to him.....Probably you will do more than he did.
He is a good player and he doesn't even talk too much.

As for you who said that Fifa is foolish for giving him the best player in the world cup...Do you think your knowledge is more than the of all the people in the Fifa?...I don't think so,They know why they did that and i think zidane deserve it.

As for you who said he always look angry...That's how his face is even when he is not playing.It doesn't mean he is angry.
Some people smile on their face but in their heart is full of evil.

Zidane won the best player upon what he did....it will not be taken back from him.....

I think it was a stupid move on his part. I was a terrible way to end his last time in the world cup. No matter what was said to him trashing talking goes on during all sports he as a captian and the best player on the team with the second best already out should have kept his cool a little better. I think the worse part was that he actually looked around to see if the ref was looking before he did it which shows that he wasn't completely over taken by his emotions and knew what he was doing.

i totally agree he is crazy and his reaction with that head butt was way toooooooooo much totally, and he is a big disgrace to all french people with the display of such ill behavior.
