Materazzi pulled Zidane's t-shirt so Zidane looked at him from feet to head arrogantly and told him if he wants it he has to wait until the end of the game. So Materazzi offended his mom and his sister and thats what made Zidane act like that. This all is according to Zidane's and Materazzi's confessions and there was nothing like offenses to his religion nor his original country as some people said while assumed he called Zidane a terrorist. It was all about his mom and sister.

Not an easy answer (I guess we won't never know), because Zidane well knows Italian language, so it could be a whole phrase, and not a single word. I don't think he could react in his way for a simple word only as 'vaffanculo' ' bastardo' or something involving his parents... I guess Materazzi said something more then a harsh word...
