i dont think that is the reason of the dress code...

the nba believes that the players should be role models to the community and they should lead by example and one way is for the nba to project its players like successfull professionals. that way they'll look classy...

this aint about hip hop but the problem is that people sometimes associate hip hop to negative things and i think that's just sad...

but i really believe its not about hip hop... its just the nba trying to improve their product... trying to sell its product the way they feel is better suited...

I don't think he is. People just look at it that way because the majority of the players are African American and they represent hip hop.

The real reason is to look like a professional, and like that guy said be a role model.

Michael Jordan wore suits all the time, there was no dress code before, but he wanted to look like a professional.

And like they say "Dress for Success"

no he is not separating the NBA to the hip hop community. like every one says, they should not be looking like thugs and since they are professionals, they should start dressing like professionals.
alot of the players are suposed to be role models to the youth
you dont see David Stern wearing jeans and flaunting his gold and diamond jewelry and whatever else because he is a professional
