Starting out with these facts:
1) The government of the U.S. was already helping Great Britain out.
2) The people of the U.S. were in an isolationist mood. WW I was disappointing to many people, and most figured that Europe's problems were of her own making. Top that off with the economic and social problems of the Great Depression, and you have a great interest in just ignoring Europe.
3) Many people in the U.S. were quite favorable to Germany. The Olympics worked as a propoganda tool. Many people took away the image of a clean and prosperous country. The plight of the Jews was more or less unknown.
4) The U.S. military was not geared up for another war
...And continuing with these assumptions:
1) Hitler was not crazy, but was horrifyingly sane. True, he overestimated Germany's ability to continue fighting wars and hold territory, but his plans sure looked like they were going to work out in '39-'40. His plans to drag the German people into the void with him at the end of the war was not a sign of craziness, but of spite and vengefulness.
2) Japan could have continued with her aggressions without American intervention.
3) FDR would not have been able to orchestrate an incident.
4) Great Britain would not have held out without the psychological feeling of having friends. This is controversial, but Churchill himself felt that this psychological advantage was the most important part of getting direct American involvement.
Based on these facts and assumptions, I guess that:
1) Hitler would have not declared war in the U.S. as long as he was involved in a war with Great Britain and the Soviet Union. Not unless Japan attacked the U.S., and involved the U.S. in a Pacific War. But we are guessing what would happen if the U.S. never did get attacked, so Germany would never declare war, and the U.S. would not get directly involved.
2) American air, land, and sea support would not have been available. A D-Day would not have happened. The west front of Germany would never have been seriously threatened.
3) In the face of no conceivable victory, Great Britain would have eventually given in to the peace offered by Hitler. Hitler was not really interested in the island other than to get them to shut up.
4) Germany would have still suffered a humiliating defeat in the Russian Campaigns, and the losses would still have been terrible. However, the reason that Stalin was able to advance so quickly is that Hitler more or less abandoned the eastern front to fight the U.S. and Great Britain in the west. Hitler figured that the Russians would have a ton of territory to conquer before getting threateningly close.
Without a D-Day, there is no offensive from the west to counter, so Hitler can afford to counter the Russians. In any case, Hitler would have bought a second chance at invading Russia, and he would have had a lot more time to fully develop those wonder weapons of his. Speaking of which...
5) Jet Planes, Ballistic missiles, and a Nuke. Two of which, he really did have at his disposal, the third was perilously close to coming true. With more time, and without the constant American and British air attacks to frustrate him, he would have almost certainly developed nuclear weapons. If Britain was not quiet yet, they would be now. And a single nuke would have taken out Stalin, who refused to leave the Kremlin. That would have been the end of the Russian resistance, and he could have named his terms.
6) The U.S. would have probably also developed nukes as well. The only question is: would the U.S. have developed them before Germany?
7) The U.S. would not have had access to German Technology. In the years following WWII, the U.S. would have had to play catch up without von Braun and crew.
Conclusions: The world would have polarized into two camps, similar to the Cold War. On the one side, Fascism, and on the other, Democracy. The Soviet Union would no longer have been any force at all, and without Stalin, might have fallen either way. The U.S. and Germany would have been more or less at parity. The Germans would have had a technological lead for some time, but the U.S. would enjoy a superior economy. The Jews would have been wiped out of Europe completely.
Some big questions would be: what happens with Japan/Germany? Do they go after the U.S.? Do they hang together at all, or do they fall apart, similar to Soviet Union/China? Would Hitler be knocked off by his own generals? What would happen when Hitler died? How long would everything hang together? Would the U.S. be able to protect the Middle East from Hitler, or would that region also fall completely under his sway? And without the oil from the region, how do things develop?

It is possible that the war could have dragged on for a bit longer. One things for sure though, Germany would have collapsed regardless, as Hitler, the so called Fuhrer and his one party state, were placing all their efforts into two areas of social and political life: the systematic persecution and eventual extermination of Jews + the plan for accquring lebenraum or "living space" in Russia to equate for the needs of Hitler's desired Aryan race

I think it would have taken longer for us to enter the war but we would have anyway because Germany would have declared war on us because of Lend/Lease/aid to Great Britain. Hitler would not have been able to resist the temptation to mess with the US.
